As dog owners and first-time parents we were initially concerned about how the dog was going to respond to the baby. It has turned out to be just great! Since the day we arrived home from the hospital after the delivery, we worked with the dog very closely to make her understand that the baby needs to be respected no matter what. Since the baby has become mobile he goes and grabs her tail, pulls her ears and mouth, grabs for her toys and lunges for her in her bed. The dog submits. And when it becomes too much for her, she just walks away. She is also very gentle when our baby wants to play tug of war with her rope.GOOD GIRL!
